MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction released its school and district report cards for the 2024-2025 school year on Tuesday.

The report cards give schools and districts a 1-5 score in each of four categories: Achievement, Growth, Target Group Outcomes and On-Track to Graduation. A 5 equates to “Significantly Exceeds Expectations,” and a 1 to “Fails to Meet Expectations.” The first two categories are weighted based on the percentage of students who are economically disadvantaged.

DPI said because of updates to the grading system, results cannot be directly compared to prior years, though the underlying data remain comparable. Out of 378 public school districts, 94%, ranked at 3 or above overall.
