BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

Birmingham police are investigating a shooting that injured two people Tuesday.

Police say officers were called to the area of 24th St. N. and 6th Ave. N. and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The area is near Marconi Park, just west of Elton B. Stephens Expressway.

One victim had non-life-threatening injuries and the extent of injuries to the second victim was unknown, police said.

There was no information on whether an arrest had been made at this time.
