The Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking the community’s help after a school bus tore through its property and damaged multiple structures Monday evening.
No CTRC clients, volunteers, staff members or horses were hurt in the incident, which followed a three-car crash on Colo. 52. A St. Vrain Valley School District bus driver, who was the only person in the bus at the time, avoided the crash by steering the bus onto CTRC’s property south of Longmont.
Mountain View Fire Rescue spokesman Rick Tillery said the drivers of the two cars with heavy damage and the bus driver were taken to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol said the drivers of the two cars had minor to moderate injuries. Neither Tillery nor the Colorado State Patrol knew the extent of the bus driver’s injuries.
