Police are hunting for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in Adelaide on Tuesday night.

The incident happened on Hillier Rd, on the border between Adelaide and the Barossa Valley, about 8pm on Tuesday night.

“The involved vehicle allegedly failed to stop after the crash and immediately sped off,” police said in a statement on Wednesday morning.

A 25-year-old man from Andrews Farm was seriously injured in the crash, police added.

Paramedics rushed him to hospital, where he died.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene overnight.

“Barossa Police and Major Crash investigators are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken with police to contact Crime Stoppers,” police said.

“You can remain anonymous.”
