ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
The rebuilding of Bridge Boulevard is going into phase 2.
For the next three weeks, crews will be working between La Vega Drive and Young Avenue to bring sidewalks and ramps up to the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The eastbound outside right lane is now closed to accommodate that work. The crews also will be repaving the road, painting bike lanes and installing new lighting.
Officials promise that all businesses in the area will remain open and accessible while the work is being done.
The project, to be completed in three phases, will upgrade infrastructure to improve safety, reduce congestion, and make access easier for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
