GREENVILLE, S.C. —
Annual report card data released by the South Carolina Department of Education shows record-setting trends and opportunities for improvement within the state's largest public school district.
The Greenville County School District addressed updates on report card data in front of the Board of Trustees on Tuesday. The group recognized strengths and weaknesses in academic performance rates among 91 listed schools.
Report card data analyzes a mixture of academic testing scores, educational environment surveys and similar factors to determine a rating for each public school in the state. The data can then be used by districts to determine a path forward for success.
High school graduation rates increased to 90.6%, which is the highest in the district's history. This is a
