HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Camouflage gear is something you see our U.S. service members wearing as part of their duty uniform.

Over the years, the patterns may have changed, however, whenever you see a soldier, Marine, airman or sailor wearing “cammies,” you immediately think of the military.

“Camo is more than a pattern, it’s more than just a design. It represents sacrifice and service which is why we’re really promoting to wear camo on Veterans Day,” said Tamah-Lani Noh, executive director of U.S.VETS at Kalaeloa.

U.S.VETS works to prevent and end veteran homelessness. This year, the nonprofit launched “Make Camo Your Cause,” a campaign to raise funds and bring an awareness surrounding the issue.
