COLUMBIA — Customers and workers will still be able to access businesses in a segment of Business Loop 70 that will be closed to through-traffic during road work.

"Those businesses that are west of Business Loop, they will have access to the west. And then businesses to the east, which will be Plumb Supply and the adult daycare that will be there, will have access to the east," Improve I-70 Program Director Eric Kopinsky told KOMU 8.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says Business Loop 70 will be closed between Hathman Place and Eastland Circle while workers build a new roundabout. Construction on the project to connect Interstate 70 to Business Loop 70 is set to begin on Wednesday and finish on Nov. 26.
