ALTAVISTA, Va. (WDBJ) - The walls of the National Center for Healthy Veterans’ Valor Barn were filled with celebration for Veterans Day.
It’s hard to believe a year ago the barn was burned to the ground and now in its place, a new barn rose from the ashes.
“Today is really a day that we celebrate. We celebrate the strength that God has provided us in the last year to overcome the trials we faced, the challenges that we overcame,” Chief Operating Officer Jacob Corwin said.
CEO of the center, Robert Dees, said from planning to completion, it took only 10 months and wouldn’t have been possible without so many giving so much to the non profit.
