TICKFAW, La. (WAFB) - An investigation into a deputy-involved shooting is underway in Tangipahoa Parish.

According to Louisiana State Police, the shooting happened on Waltrip Lane near Highway 442 in Tickfaw and involved a deputy from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Troopers responded to the scene to investigate around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11.

Authorities said that one suspect was shot and was taken to a hospital to get treated. They added that no deputies were injured.

No other details about what happened were released. However, troopers said the shooting remains under investigation.
