INDIANAPOLIS — Butler starting point guard Jalen Jackson left Tuesday's 98-66 win over Chicago State with 7 minutes, 30 seconds remaining in the first half and did not return.
Jackson was kicked in the ankle he dislocated during summer workouts this offseason. Jackson grabbed the ankle in pain and returned to the bench after halftime with the ankle wrapped. Coach Thad Matta said his status for Saturday's game against SMU should not be impacted by the injury.
