TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. — A person was shot by a Tangipahoa Parish deputy Tuesday evening in Tickfaw, according to the Louisiana State Police.

The incident happened on Waltrip Lane near Highway 442 around 7 p.m.

According to investigators, one person was shot and taken to a hospital for treatment.

No deputies were injured. The incident remains under investigation.

"Anyone with information, photos, or videos related to the incident is urged to contact LSP Detectives," police said in a statement.
