PELHAM, N.H. —
Many gathered Tuesday in Pelham to pause, say thank you and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
VFW members and the American Legion rifle squad gathered at the Pelham Veterans Memorial Park for a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday morning.
One woman who attended had a grandfather in World War I. Her father served in World War II, and her husband, who was also in attendance Tuesday, was drafted in 1966.
She said veterans deserve countless thankyous.
“Between the homelessness, the hunger, the PTSD, the struggles, we owe everything to the veterans and the solders today. The ones that are deployed right now. It's just, how do you say thank you over and over again for what they do. There's no words. So I will spend my last breath to take care of veterans," Madeline
