Minneapolis police arrested two teenage boys following a crime spree that included two carjackings – one of them targeting a Minneapolis City Council member – between Monday afternoon and early Tuesday morning.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara announced Tuesday that the boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested following a 12-hour spree that started Monday afternoon, and included carjacking council member Jamal Osman, whose car was stolen around 8 p.m. Monday near East Lake Street.

Two men were also arrested following a separate carjacking reported at around 6 p.m. at a gas station near the 2600 block of Penn Avenue North.
