Deep divisions doom future generations
I find myself wondering where we went wrong or if it was ever right.
Omitting the Civil War, a case can be made that the country has never been more divided than it is now. Instead of civil debate, we indulge in sensationalism. Instead of coming up with an original opinion, we practice generational beliefs.
People tend to figure out what they love and hate by how they are raised. Nature vs. nurture applies here. We learn our core fundamentals by how we are raised.
I fear for children who are learning from us now. People are not just disagreeing with their opponents but hating them. This hatred only spreads and infects.
If we stay divided, we will doom future generations to repeat the same broken cycle. We are only hurting ourselves.
