AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man is accused of supplying methamphetamine to a small town in northeastern Tennessee.
Demetrius Parker II, 30, made repeated trips from Akron to sell meth out of a home in Blountville, Tennessee, an unincorporated area of about 3,000 people, according to court records.
Parker is charged in federal court in Greenville, Tennessee, with one count of possession with the intent to distribute drugs.
He was arrested in Akron last week, court records say. No attorney is listed for him in filings.
Authorities said Parker was identified as a meth supplier during an investigation into an Akron-to-Tennessee drug pipeline.
An informant, working with drug investigators, bought meth from Parker and his associates several times at a trailer in Blountville.
