DANE, Wis. (WMTV) - A family-owned distillery in Dane is joining a Clinton-based agribusiness initiative aimed at highlighting Wisconsin businesses that lead in sustainability.
J. Henry and Sons Distillery has become the newest partner of Grown Climate Smart , a program that identifies and supports companies using sustainable production practices.
The third-generation family farm produces bourbon and rye whiskey from its own grains grown on their property, using environmentally conscious methods.
Farm-to-bottle operation emphasizes sustainability
Jack and Joe Henry operate the distillery on the property their grandfather purchased in 1946.
They grew up working on the farm, and now love the work, saying no two days are the same and that it keeps them on their toes.
