For one unforgettable week last month, the world united in Fort Wayne for the 2025 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup.

Hundreds of athletes from 15 nations arrived, carrying their countries’ colors on a shared journey of athletic pursuit. The tournament that followed was more than a sporting event. It reflected who we are as a community at our best.

Over seven days of competition, more than 500 delegates experienced world-class sport in a city that has become known for the collaboration that powers it behind the scenes.

From the first serve to the final medal ceremony, volunteers, partners and community leaders, including Mayor Sharon Tucker and Councilwoman Michelle Chambers, worked together to show what inclusive Hoosier Hospitality looks like in practice.
