LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Light Up Louisville is back this year and on a new date. The annual holiday celebration is traditionally held after Thanksgiving.
This year it will take place Saturday, Dec. 6 , at Jackson Square Park, making this a diverse, family-friendly event.
LG&E and KU have more than 20 years as the title sponsors of Light Up Louisville. This event draws thousands each year to enjoy a festive night of lights, music, local shopping, and a special appearance of Santa Claus.
“Special events like Light Up Louisville really showcase everything our city has to offer and why it's such a unique travel destination, from unique dining experiences to local shops, hotels and more,” said Mayor Craig Greenberg.
