Owned by Arthur M. Blank, Atlanta’s NWSL club will join the ranks of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Atlanta Drive Golf Club in the Atlanta mogul’s sports team portfolio.

The Atlanta team will become the NWSL’s 17th team in a recent expansion round, which also included Boston and Denver.
Home matches will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The team will be operated by AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE).
AMBSE officials said the stadium will have “modifications like those deployed by Atlanta United to make the venue unique to the NWSL club with an expected capacity of approximately 28,000.”
