KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Despite political turbulence in Washington, operations at Kansas City International Airport ran smoothly Tuesday, with most flights departing and arriving on time.
KMBC crews observed a steady flow of travelers through the terminals, with only minor disruptions. Advertisement
Airport data showed seven departures and three arrivals delayed, mostly Southwest and Delta flights, with delays ranging from about 15 minutes to just over an hour.
Olathe resident Alison Pfeifer said the improved performance makes a big difference for families traveling with children.
“Everybody’s been showing up, which is awesome,” Pfeifer said. “We appreciate that, and it helps families, especially with little ones, not have to worry about being in an airport for hours upon hours.”
