GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO)-From parades, ceremonies and tributes, the commonwealth has been celebrating Veterans Day a variety of different ways.

This Veterans Day, families and veterans in Glasgow sat down for dinner to highlight the contributions of those who’ve put on the uniform.

The annual event included musical performances from the Glasgow community band, ceremonies and guest keynote speakers.

Veterans who attended the ceremony got to enjoy their meal for free.

Matt Mutter is one of the many organizers of the dinner and previously served in the Navy.

“Glasgow and Barren County is a very veteran-rich area, and we’re very proud of our military service and our veterans,” he says. “And every chance we get, we’re going to honor them and show our support for them”.
