IIT Mandi continues to attract increasing interest from aspirants seeking undergraduate engineering programmes, with the latest data showing steady double-digit growth across nearly all courses — extending an upward trend that began in 2024. Leading once again is Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), which received 19,202 candidate choices in 2025, up from 16,569 in 2024 and 14,724 in 2023. The course recorded a 12.53 per cent rise last year and an even steeper 15.89 per cent increase this year, underscoring the consistent dominance of computing disciplines amid rising demand for expertise in AI, software systems, and data analytics, according to the 2025 Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) data.
