On Wednesday at 12:44 a.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 1 p.m. for Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.

"Additional snow accumulations 3 to 6 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Greatest accumulations will be on the Tug Hill Plateau and through Jefferson County," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Snow will change over to plain rain at the lower elevations late this morning and through the afternoon. Minor additional accumulations expected across the Tug Hill and Western Adirondacks through tonight."
