Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced the extension of the historic Baliyatra in Cuttack by one day. Originally scheduled to conclude on November 12, the fair will now continue till November 13.

The Chief Minister said the decision was taken keeping in mind the enthusiasm of the general public and the business interests of traders participating in the fair.

“The extension aims to allow more visitors to experience the fair and provide traders with additional opportunities to showcase their products,” he said.

Baliyatra, one of the largest trade and cultural fairs in Odisha, attracts thousands of visitors from across the state and beyond. The fair is known for its vibrant stalls, traditional crafts, local cuisine, and festive atmosphere. Tags: Ba
