Marking a transformative moment for India’s cooperative movement in the mobility sector, Bharat Taxi (Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited), a first-of-its-kind cooperative-driven national ride-hailing platform, has begun its soft launch in Delhi in collaboration with the Delhi Traffic Police.
The services have commenced from key transit hubs including the Delhi Airport, ISBTs, and major railway stations, supported by dedicated booking booths for on-ground customer service.
The initiative aims to establish a people-owned, equitable, and sustainable mobility model, offering safe, reliable, and affordable rides while ensuring dignity and fair income for drivers, referred to as ‘Saarthis’.
