WASHINGTON - A new report from the Washington Hospitality Association reveals that chain restaurant prices in Washington state are the highest among the lower 48 states.
According to the report, dining at chain restaurants in Washington costs 13.6% more than the national average.
Washington, California and Oregon top the list of states with the highest menu prices, all above the national average. California ranks second with prices 13.3% higher than the national average.
Seattle is highlighted as one of the most expensive cities in the nation for dining, with menu prices more than 17% above the average for the 20 largest cities in America.
