Andrew Mountbatten Windsor could be getting another name change in accordance with the late Queen’s wishes just weeks after being spectacularly stripped of his titles.
The former Duke of York was recently stripped of his remaining royal titles, including his princely title he has carried since birth, over his links to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Initially, communications from the palace reintroduced the ex-working royal as “Andrew Mountbatten Windsor”.
The new name was notably missing the hyphen that was traditionally used in the royal family's double-barrelled surname.
It is understood the spelling was decided after consultation with Andrew.
