Eli Croce scored in regulation and converted the deciding penalty kick as sixth-seeded Delsea defeated second-seeded Toms River East in a South Jersey Group 3 semifinal in Toms River.
The teams tied 1-1 after regulation and two overtimes, with Croce’s second-half goal rallying Delsea from a 1-0 deficit.
In penalty kicks, Delsea edged Toms River East 4-3 as Riley Sheel, Gavin Witz, John Pierce and Croce found the back of the net to advance Delsea (14-5-2) to meet top-seeded Moorestown in Friday’s sectional finals.
Moorestown advanced with a 1-0 win over fourth-seeded Toms River South.
Tanner Diaz made six saves during regulation and overtime, and made another save in penalty kicks for Delsea, which has an 8-1 record in its last nine games.
Toms River East fell to 17-6-1.
