Caroline Burbaker led seventh-seeded Mendham with 12 kills and nine blocks in its 3-0 upset over top-seeded Hackettstown, No. 20 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the final round of the North Jersey Section 2, Group 2 Tournament in Hackettstown.

Mendham wins its first sectional final since 2021 when the Minutemen took down Gov. Livingston in the Central Jersey, Group 2 Tournament, 2-0.

Mendham came out firing shots and nailing them with precision as Hackettstown could not return anything over the net. Mendham took the first set handily, 25-16.

It was the same course of action for Mendham in the second set. Hackettstown was able to fend off shots better, but Mendham kept its momentum from the first set going and took the second set, 25-18.
