EL CENTRO — The El Centro Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint on Friday, Nov. 29, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the intersection of Imperial Avenue and Holt Avenue.

Police say DUI checkpoint locations are selected using data on areas with higher incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary goal of the checkpoints is to enhance public safety by removing suspected impaired drivers from the road.
