The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune is in talks with Royal Challengers Bengaluru to host their Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in 2026 if they are not allowed to play their home matches at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After more than 10 people lost their lives during RCB’s victory celebrations at Chinnaswamy on June 4, no matches have been played at the iconic stadium in Bengaluru.

It was reported last week that due to the controversy in June, the stadium is not being considered as one of the venues for the T20 World Cup next year.

Amid uncertainty over RCB’s IPL matches in Bengaluru, MCA has offered to host RCB’s home matches.
