Linda Reynolds is suing the Commonwealth and its lawyers over the handling of Brittany Higgins' $2.4 million compensation settlement, yet has removed specific allegations against the former Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus.
The former Liberal senator's claim concerns the 2022 payout to Ms Higgins, who said she was not supported by Ms Reynolds after she made allegations she was raped by Bruce Lehrmann inside Parliament House in 2019.
The settlement was reached after one day of mediation, which Ms Reynolds was excluded from by Mr Dreyfus, who had been appointed Attorney-General after Labor won the federal election in May 2022.
