MARSHALL - Madison County broke ground on its new veterans park, an idea that has been in the making for more than 10 years.

County commissioners and County Manager Rod Honeycutt, who served 37 years in the Army as a logistician, including combat tours in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, hosted an Oct. 15 ribbon cutting at the Medical Park Drive site in Marshall.
