“Pulakit Tapoban” Lights Up Nagaon with Music, Tributes, and Classical Grace

Nagaon: In a moving celebration of music, memory, and mentorship, Sur Sadhana, one of Assam’s most respected musical institutions, hosted its 24th annual event “Pulakit Tapoban” in Nagaon. The occasion turned into a soulful gathering of classical melodies, heartfelt tributes, and youthful performances that resonated deeply with the audience.

This year’s Pulakit Tapoban was dedicated to the late musical legend Zubeen Garg, whose songs inspire generations of music lovers. The programme opened with a touching tribute led by renowned tabla maestro Raja Barua, a close associate and accompanist of Zubeen Garg. Students of Sur Sadhana, joined by young talents from across Assam, presented a series of Zubeen’s evergreen songs, filling the auditorium with
