ATLANTA — The DeKalb County Fire Department is responding to a fire at a building near the Georgia Department of Corrections on Wednesday morning.
According to fire officials, firefighters were called to a warehouse on Fleetwood Drive, located on the south side of Atlanta.
The department said the fire happened across from some railroad tracks, and they had to work with Norfolk Southern to stop the trains while they worked to extinguish the flames.
Officials said the fire is now out as of 9:05 a.m. and the trains are back operating.
Fire officials said the building sustained some smoke and water damage to parts of the facility, and the warehouse was closed at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
