CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio —
Firefighters across Clermont County are teaming up to support families in their communities facing food insecurity during this critical time.
Jonathan Cooper Jr, the Community Health Coordinator for Miami Township Fire & EMS, says with the rising cost of food, the government shutdown, and the holidays approaching, there is a serious need to help support families who are struggling to put food on the table. Advertisement
"At the heart of this, this is neighbor helping neighbor, community helping community," Cooper said. "You know, right now we're facing potentially one in eight families struggling to put food on the table. And we're looking to make sure that a senior or a family doesn't have to decide between a bill of medicine or groceries."
