The City of Gosnells is expecting a surge of development applications with the release of a simplified planning scheme.

Its new Local Planning Scheme no. 24 is aimed at addressing the growing housing and employment needs of its rapidly expanding population.

Its population is expected to grow from 140,000 in 2025 to 171,000 by 2036.
