(KIMT) -- A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) that occurred on November 9 reached the Earth's atmosphere Tuesday night, which gave us an impressive display of the Northern Lights, one that is on par with the geomagnetic storm of October 10, 2024! Plenty of KIMT News 3 viewers and staff sent in photos of the dazzling display of color!

KIMT StormTrack 3 Meteorologist Hunter Donahoe traveled north to Oronoco, MN to view the lights with Afternoon Anchor Ryan Juntti:

The aurora was visible overhead! Even at roughly 3 AM Wednesday morning, the Northern Lights were still shining bright and visible to the naked eye on the far northern edge of Rochester.

Morning Director Dayne Meyers captured an amazing picture of the lights on her way into work Wednesday morning as well!
