CHARDON, Ohio (WOIO) - A former Hawken Upper School employee who pleaded guilty to sex charges involving a student, will be sentenced in Geauga County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday.

In September, Devin Hernandez entered a written plea of guilty to two counts of sexual battery. He was indicted on five counts of sexual battery, but the other three counts were dismissed.

Hernandez, of Mayfield Heights, remains out on bond.

According to investigators, Hernandez engaged in sexual conduct with a 17 year old student from March 1, 2023 until at least May 31, 2023 at Hawken Upper School where he served as an assistant strength and condition coach.

Hernandez is currently on leave from Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School (NDCL) in Chardon.
