ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - An active standoff is in progress in north St. Louis after an overnight police chase in Pontoon Beach.

According to police, a police cruiser was struck by the suspect vehicle’s driver.

The pursuit ended on W. Florissant after passing through Metro East, St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

The standoff is centered around a car, with two people inside.

Police from multiple agencies are on scene, including SLMPD, Pontoon Beach, and MSHP.

A portion of West Florissant is currently closed.
