The Washington Commanders have designated safety Will Harris to return to practice, opening his 21-day window to be returned to the active roster.
Harris, who signed with the Commanders during the offseason, suffered a fractured fibula in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Although head coach Dan Quinn said the injury would sideline him for an extended period, he added at the time that the injury would not end Harris' season.
"It's been remarkable to see his healing and coming back and getting the running," Quinn said of Harris on Oct. 31. "The first time I got a chance to spend time with him was when we went out to LA.
