LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — The man accused of fatally shooting two of his co-workers and injuring four others at a warehouse in New Albany earlier this year has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
The filing for Bruce Foster III was processed in the Licking County Court of Common Pleas on Nov. 6.
The plea comes after a judge heard new testimony in Foster’s case. A psychiatric evaluation hearing was held to determine whether Foster was competent to stand trial.
A forensic psychologist who examined Foster testified that, in his opinion, the defendant understands the nature of the legal proceedings and is capable of assisting his attorney.
