Retail inflation hits record low of 0.25% in October as food prices ease

India’s retail inflation recorded 0.25 per cent in October 2025 - the lowest under the current CPI base, as food prices dropped sharply following a GST cut and favourable base effects. Both rural and urban inflation fell significantly, led by lower prices of vegetables, oils and cereals.
