New Delhi, Nov 12: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the third pre-Budget consultation with stakeholders from the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector in New Delhi for the upcoming Union Budget 2026-27.
The meeting included discussions on improving the investment climate through digitized single window clearances and reforming business regulations. A report by Assocham suggested a consolidated annual MSME compliance form to ease regulatory burdens.
This consultation follows earlier meetings with agricultural representatives and economists, focusing on enhancing the ease of doing business and potential tax benefits. Continued discussions with industry bodies are expected leading up to the Budget proposal finalization.
