The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday ordered the attachment of the residential property belonging to Mian Abdul Qayoom, former President of the J&K High Court Bar Association, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), in connection with an FIR registered at Police Station Shaheed Gunj.

As per an order issued by the Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat, the attachment pertains to a two-storey residential house along with land measuring 2 kanals, 1 marla, and 90 sqft at Bulbul Bagh, Barzulla, Srinagar. The action has been taken under FIR No. 157/2009 registered under Sections 120, 120-B, 121, 153-A RPC and 13, 38, and 39 UAPA at PS Shaheed Gunj.
