1. Last Thursday was an historic day for health care in our State with the announcement that we are buying a hospital in Mount Lawley, building a hospital in Peel, and upgrading a hospital in Perth. We launched a new $1.5 billion Building Hospitals Fund to deliver these transformational projects, taking our Government’s investment in health infrastructure to a record $4.7b — the biggest hospital build in our State’s history.

2. Early tender advice was released to the market on Monday for delivery of the new six-storey block at Royal Perth Hospital with a bigger emergency department on a site closer to McIver Station. As part of the project, we’ll be looking at ways to improve the station and other transport connections to this vital health precinct.
