If you're growing cool-season grasses , i.e. the ones that grow best in the central and northern parts of the US, then you're probably aware that early fall is a great time to seed your lawn . Those grasses will grow best after the heat of the summer has ebbed but when they still have time to develop strong roots before winter sets in.
