Aaron Rodgers’ performance against the Chargers in the Steelers’ 25-10 loss Sunday night was the ninth-worst passer rating he’s posted in his 257-game career. Several factors played into how bad the offense was, but much of it revolved around how the Steelers didn’t maintain the balanced approach in their passing game that had yielded success in previous weeks.

While the Steelers’ offense hasn’t gained yards at a high rate at any point this season, they’ve been an opportunistic unit that’s capitalized on situations to put points on the board. Over the past two weeks, the Steelers have dropped from being the NFL’s 11th-best scoring offense to 16th-best.
