Andrew Marr says he thinks President Trump is “deadly serious about going for” the BBC. “Even the legal fees here are going to be enormous and I think the pressure on the BBC is going to be intense.”

He told Channel 4 News he’d asked a former Deputy National Security Adviser to the US President if a grovelling apology from the BBC would be enough, and she had responded “absolutely not”.

President Trump himself has told Fox News he believes he has an “obligation” to sue the BBC , claiming that his speech had been “butchered”.
